"I wanted [Femme fetale] to sound different from everything else out right now O'RLY!?

Britney sat down with Rolling stone (by sat down I mean slumped down into a corner of her living room sofa with a ding dong and a pack of ho-ho's. And by with I mean over the phone on loudspeaker, so bitch has a hand free to push Sean Preston down from climbing up onto the coffee table) to talk about her seventh studio album Femme fetale.
I have always been heavily involved in every album I have ever made. I'm very stubborn when it comes to recording and will only record songs I love, which is why it takes me a long time to make an album. I have to feel connected before I record and the song has to spark something inside me.
I see Britney's got jokes. Femme fetale is the album Britney had the LEAST involvement in. It marks the only release aside from her debut which does not feature a songwriting credit from Britney herself. Max Martin threw it RIGHT back with Femme fetale. Giving a chick no say, no control, no nothing, like her ass just got signed. I find it funny how she talks about being connected to a song, yet she sounds so disconnected on most of what she records now-a-days.
I wanted to make a fresh-sounding album for the clubs or something that you play in your car when you’re going out at night that gets you excited but I wanted it to sound different from everything else out right now.
Uh-huh. Because "Till the word ends" doesn't sound like Ke$ha's "We R who we R" what-so-ever. And "Criminal" bares zero resemblance to Madonna's "Miles away" and Nelly Furtado's "All good things (come to an end)". My eyes be rollin' like Limp Bizkit and spinning like a n***a's rims.

Britney's full of jokes. From what she told Rolling stone, to the album, to her lack of promotion. It's all just a big joke.

  1. @J - come on now, let brit catch a break! yes TTWE reeks of this dance-pop is that running amok on the radio, but HIAM was innovative or else people wouldn't be actin such a fool on the dubstep influence. i honestly think the album is pretty fresh. i'm sure max and dr. luke had to appease the execs with something radio-friendly, but the rest is great! can you really deny that whistle on "i wanna go" or the breathing and popping craziness on "how i roll"? don't even get me started on "up n down" or "he about to lose me". and i definitely sense a connection and some passion on "don't keep me waiting".

don't get me wrong, i know old brit's been put to rest and we won't be getting the passion of slave or the dancing of overprotected, but cut baby girl some slack, she's giving us a lot more than expected. some perfs (though they'll prob be a bit dry), some shoots (which have pretty good), she even stopped by seacrest! you got me a lil scared to read your review when it drops...

  2. I don't why she is still relevant.

Her album is soo heavily digitalized Rebbecca Black could singing throughout and I wouldn't know. Her dancing is wack and the fact that no has heard sing live in almost like a decade shows she is as lazy as fuck.

I am pretty young so I wasn't really aware of her peak but from her gimme more disaster at the VMA till now I don't why she is competition for people who actual work hard like Beyonce or even Gaga. Heck at least Rihanna doesn't lip sync and her voice is recognizable.

  4. 1. @Anonymous, PLEASE do some research, in her prime Britney probably worked harder than any bxtch in the game laying the foundations that still hold today which is why her fans stick by her nomatter what... and by "worked hard" i don't mean worked hard stealing shxt which is what Gaga and WANNABEyonce spend most of their time doing.
You also need to take into account that Gaga and Beyonce havn't had 2 children and a nervous breakdown like Beitney did, these days her priorities are her kids and her health.
Also Britney isn't competition she's the bxtch people compete with, she may not give the hot performances or the cute interviews like she used to but you can be sure than a Britney album will always be hot.

    2. I don't think Britney has been actively stopped from having any imput into the album, infact i think she had some input (the Dubstep etc) i just don't think she's in a place atm where music is something she is passionate about, i think once this album is wrapped up and her contract with Jive is fulfilled and her tour is over she's gonna go on a long break and then hopefully when she does come back it'll be because she's rediscovered her passion for music and not to fulfill contractual obligations :)

  5. @FutureStar Okay Britney put a lot of hard work in the beginning of her career, but that is no excuse to stop delivering hot performances and hot music. Her music as of late is bog standard and her performances and music videos have been boring and lack the energy she had in the past. She's no better than that crack head Kesha. Fans are paying for her performances and music now, not what she did in the past. Your argument is flawed. Apply what you're saying to anything else and ask yourself if that makes sense.
Say what you want about Beyonce, or Gaga, but they actually PERFORM and they promote non-stop. We get the fact that she's been through a lot, but that doesn't change the truth; her music and performance are lacking.
